Agung Podomoro is ready to support the government's plan to accelerate the development of the National Capital Integrated Coastal Area (IKN) Nusantara. The company is taking concrete steps by promoting property development projects in two IKN supporting cities, Balikpapan and Samarinda, East Kalimantan.

The property projects in these two cities are projected to become supportive cities for the development of IKN, which is expected to stimulate a new economy and strengthen the regional economy.

Agung Wirajaya, the Marketing Director of Agung Podomoro, explained that the company is currently focused on the development of two projects in the cities of Balikpapan and Samarinda.

"We have been building property projects in Balikpapan and Samarinda, East Kalimantan, for more than a decade," said Agung in his official statement on Wednesday (April 19).

One of Agung Podomoro's property projects in Balikpapan is Borneo Bay City Balikpapan, a residential complex with a superblock concept that includes apartments, commercial areas, malls, offices, hotels, and shophouses. The Borneo City project is built on a 4.9-hectare land on the edge of Balikpapan Bay and is targeted at middle-class, upper-middle-class consumers, and tourists.

"Agung Podomoro wants to show that Balikpapan can become a new investment destination as a business and tourism city in Indonesia. This is certainly further supported by the government's decision to relocate IKN, which will accelerate the residential, commercial, and office sectors in this area," he added.

As for the project in Samarinda, Agung Podomoro is developing the Bukit Mediterania Samarinda project. This area features the most complete clubhouse in Samarinda, including facilities such as a gym, private cinema, swimming pool, kids' pool, kids' playground, function hall, jacuzzi, and an open lawn.

Agung Podomoro is also undertaking the development of the second phase of Bukit Mediterania Samarinda with a mixed-use development concept.

He added that the super-premium area, The Premiere Hills, is a development of Bukit Mediterania Samarinda that has become a new icon in the city of Samarinda.

Through the Green Living concept styled after Southern European Mediterranean brought by Agung Podomoro to The Premiere Hills, this project becomes even more perfect with a number of world-class facilities provided.

Located right in the city center, The Premiere Hills has excellent accessibility to the Balikpapan-Samarinda Toll Road and APT Pranoto International Airport. With this established accessibility, The Premiere Hills also offers connectivity to major economic regions in East Kalimantan such as Balikpapan, Bontang, Tenggarong, and Berau.

"The company will continue to participate in the development of the new capital. Agung Podomoro sees the readiness and seriousness of the government through the development of basic infrastructure in the East Kalimantan region, which will automatically affect the expected increase in population in IKN," he concluded.
